american pageant guided readings
As many of you know, having course material introduced and reinforced textually is a solid approach to achieving content mastery. In order to cover the content efficiently and effectively, I have created a student work book guides students through the course, providing the foundation necessary to fuel class discussions and complement instructor lectures. The workbook is aligned with The American Pageant (Houghton Mifflin, 13th Edition, 2005).
American Pageant Guided Reading Questions - Part I (Chapters #1-#22) This workbook contains 145 pages of big picture themes, key identifications and guided reading questions for the first 22 chapters of The American Pageant.
American Pageant Guided Reading Questions - Part II (Chapters #23 -#41) The APUSH student workbook contains 147 pages of big picture themes, key identifications and guided reading questions for chapters 23-40 of The American Pageant.
The American Pageant resource bundle is designed to help you build a more efficient and effective AP program. The bundle includes:
American Pageant Guided Reading Version 1.0 (Answer Key) The APUSH teacher workbook answer key contains over 350 pages of key identifications (defined), as well as detailed answers to over 400 guided readings questions and a pacing guided for chapters #1-40. The answer key is designed to consolidate 500 pages of text into a 4-5 page chapter summaries of essential content for teachers preparing lessons and assessments.
American Pageant Guided Reading Version 2.0 (Time Periods #1-8)
The American Pageant guided reading (Version 2.0 ) is also designed to provide predictable and manageable homework assignments with a higher level guided reading element. This version aligns American Pageant chapters with 8 A.P. United States History Time Periods covering 1492 to 1992.
Each Time Period guided reading file is built with the following elements: A ”TILES” style cover page focusing on key individuals, events or concepts that relate to the time period. Great to introduce or review a time period. As a way of forecasting the chapter, a brief 300 word CHAPTER SYNOPSIS is provided with space to identify two key points/main ideas about the upcoming chapter. The GUIDED READING questions include standard written responses (1 to 2 sentence explanations) and opportunities for students to provided three pieces of specific factual information for select chapter subheadings.
